Hello! We’re Cecilia and Lawrence, a happily married couple living in Sunnyvale, California. We are grateful for your interest in learning more about us. We understand your decision may be both difficult and emotional, and we truly appreciate and respect your courage. Thank you for considering us as potential parents to adopt your baby.

We have always dreamed of having a family of our own. After trying to conceive and unsuccessful infertility treatments, we are hopeful adoption will make our dreams of becoming parents come true. We are looking forward to completing our family through adoption. We love each other unconditionally and know that we will be great parents to any child that we are blessed with.

Cecilia has adopted members in her family, so we’ve been exposed to adoption in our own lives. Our family is extremely supportive of adoption and they are looking forward to welcoming a new family member.

Get To Know Us

We met on Eharmony ten years ago. We were both skeptical about online dating; however it turned out to be a life changing experience for both of us! Our first meeting was at Starbucks where Cecilia’s protective brother insisted to pretend to be a coffee shop guest to her blind date. Cecilia’s brother didn’t end up staying long because Lawrence proved to be a sweetheart and our instant connection was clear. We’ve been together ever since, and married in 2015.

We have a wonderful and loving relationship. We compliment each others’ personalities well and bring out the best in each other. Our strongest qualities as a married couple are our shared values, which centers on supporting each other through both the great times and challenging times, including the miscarriages we endured. We are truly excited to become parents for the first time through open adoption!

Our Home & Things We Like To Do

We live in Sunnyvale California. We have been at our current residence for 9 years, and our home has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The neighborhood we live in is quiet and family oriented with many children. We are close to many parks, schools, a library, recreation center and a community swimming pool. We love living in the Bay Area and consider it a great place to raise a child, in part because there so many activities for our child to get involved in.

We share many of the same interests and feel fortunate to live in the Bay Area where there are many places to visit and enjoy. We both enjoy taking day trips to San Francisco and visiting different sites such as the museums, the zoo and the pier. Another place we like going is Monterey to enjoy the breath taking scenery and to relax on the beach. We also enjoy attending various annual festivals, one of our favorites is, the Halfmoon Bay Pumpkin Festival and other various cultural and art festivals around the Bay Area. Our favorite place that we love to visit at least once a year is Disneyland, also, we like going to the movies, dining out at different restaurants and going on picnics to enjoy the outdoors.  We enjoy spending quality time together doing things we love. We are looking forward to sharing all these experiences with our child.

Cecilia - By Lawrence

Cecilia is the most beautiful person I know, she has a kind and warm heart and always puts others before herself. Cecilia is passionate and dedicated to what she puts her heart and mind to. She cherishes her time with family, whether it’s family get togethers or just a simple evening at home. Her loving spirit makes people feel welcomed and cared for. Cecilia loves to cook and entertain for family and friends. She loves decorating the house for holidays, devoting herself to the spirit of the holidays with family traditions.

She works at an elementary school as a Special Education Para Educator, working with and teaching children with learning disabilities, either in their classroom or one on one. She has been working at the same elementary school for 25 years. In fact, it’s the same school she attended as a child! She loves having a job that enables her to help children and make positive changes in their lives. The job is quite rewarding for her, especially forming close relationships with her students. To this day, she has former students who are grown adults approach her and happy to see her. She is also respected by her co-workers as well as the administrative staff.

Cecilia is going to be an amazing and loving mother. Being a mother is something she has always dreamt of and knows she was meant to be one. I know she will be a devoted, nurturing and loving mother who will put our baby as top priority in our life. Being a new mommy for Cecilia would be the fulfillment in her life. I can’t wait for the days to hear her sing lullabies and tell stories to our baby. She looks forward to experiencing all the first times with our baby; holding and feeding them, hearing them make their first noises and laugh and seeing them walk for the first time. When our baby becomes toddler age, is an exciting time that she can’t wait for. She wants to take them to all places her parents took her when she was that age and she wants our baby to experience educational and exciting places as well. Holidays are an exciting and special time for Cecilia, she can’t wait to have our baby experience all the joy and excitement that holidays bring a child. Disneyland is Cecilia’s favorite place, ever since she was young, to take our baby there and experience the happiness the park brings is something she can’t wait to experience.  When our child reaches school age she can’t wait to be involved in school activities, attending all functions and volunteering in their classroom. I agree with Cecilia – I think she was meant to be a Mom!

Lawrence - By Cecilia

Lawrence is the most kind and loving man I ever met. He is a wonderful husband and friend to me, and always makes me feel loved and special. He always goes out of his way to help others before himself. There’s nothing that he wouldn’t do for me or any of my family members. The qualities that I admire the most about him are: his kind heart, willingness to help others, his good sense of humor, his willingness  to communicate, being supportive of me and that he is family oriented.

He enjoys playing golf and sports in his free time. He is a big fan of the 49ers, New York Yankees, Warriors and the Sharks. For holidays and weekends he enjoys barbequing and entertaining with the family. Lawrence has been working for FedEx Express for 19 years as a courier. He truly enjoys his job especially his daily interactions with the costumers. He has received numerous service and driving awards.

I know he’ll be a great and loving father to our child. I couldn’t be more excited to spend the rest of my life with him and raise a family. Lawrence is looking forward to all the first time daddy moments such as holding and feeding our baby for the first time. He can’t wait to see all the first moments of our child such as; their first smile, first steps and first words. He is looking forward to our baby becoming a toddler, so he can play with them and make them laugh and experiencing our baby calling him Dad for the first time. Lawrence can’t wait to see the joy in our child’s face when they get to experience their first holidays and seeing the joy in the faces. As our child becomes school aged, he looks forward to taking them to fun and education places such as museums, aquariums and sporting events. Being involved in our child’s education and attending all school events is something he can’t wait to be part of. Our child will have an incredible and loving father.

Spending quality time will be important to us, so we plan on taking your child to fun, adventurous and educational places, such as, museums, zoos, aquariums, parks, beaches, amusement parks and to plan fun family vacations. We also have family traditions to share with the baby, and are interested to learn of yours. We believe it’s important to be an involved parent, so most importantly, we promise your child will live a joyful, healthy and loving life.
