Welcome! We are Nicole and Chris from West Sacramento, California.

We chose open adoption based on research and people we have spoken with, both adopted and adoptive parents. We hope choosing the parents for your child gives you peace of mind, and should you choose us we will welcome you into our home. We want you to have the opportunity to see the positive impact your decision has made on us and your child, to know your child in the capacity that is comfortable for us all, and to give your child the benefit of knowing where they came from, the circumstances of their adoption and their heritage and cultural background.

We chose open adoption because of the transparency of the experience, and feel it is a situation that is in the best interest of everyone with our child at the heart of it.

    Our Home & Community

Our home is surrounded by diverse and friendly neighbors. During the warmer months, we envision our child playing with the neighboring kids, and riding their bikes around while we are outside doing yard work and other summer activities. The best feature of our home is a great big room that serves as the place where family and friends come together to socialize, cook, listen to music and watch shows with our goddaughter and other children. We try to keep things relaxed and uncluttered, with plenty of space for our new addition.

We share our home with our loveable cat Chloe. Chloe enhances our life and contributes to the relaxing environment of our living space as she can always be found lounging around with one of us us in the evenings when we wind down from the day.

    About Us

We met shortly after Chris returned from the Marine Corp, on our first day at college. It was love at first sight, and we married just a couple of years later and have been happily married for 18 years. We believe in making an impact on our community, and value education and positive social change. We are both very compassionate, loyal, and hardworking, all traits we hope to pass on to our child.

    Our Family & Friends

We have many close friends living near us, with our goddaughter just a few streets away. This affords us the opportunity to spend time with her often, having sleepovers, playing in the parks close to our house, and hosting gatherings where we can enjoy each other’s company. We consider our close friends part of our family, and typically celebrate major holidays with them in our home.

Since we live in California, and have relatives on the north and central coasts, we are lucky to be able to travel often to visit the bay area and hang out at the beach. We look forward to the day we can take our child on their first visit to grandpa’s house on the central coast.

All of our loved ones are overwhelmingly supportive and happy that we are growing our family through open adoption.

    A Bit About Our Interests

As a couple, we have many interests in common. We enjoy outdoor activities together, including walking, hiking, biking, and general exploring of the areas we are in. We live in West Sacramento, west of the Sacramento River where it meets the American River. It’s a small community, but we have all the convenience of the city. We often ride the bike trails that follow the river, allowing easy access for us to commute to work, exercise, or ride into downtown Sacramento together for some fun. There are many parks in and around our neighborhood that we visit often with our goddaughter, a duck pond we can bike around and feed the ducks, and a community center that we belong to that hosts many activities for us to join in, including swimming and yoga. We are really looking forward to teaching and enjoying our many hobbies with our child!

    Thank You

Thank you for considering us as prospective adoptive parents!

The choice you are making is likely one of the hardest of your life and what you are considering is the most generous of acts that anyone can possibly do for an adoptive couple like us. We have always wanted to parent, and look forward to growing our family of two to three.

We are very excited to become first time parents through open adoption, and look forward to learning more about you. Please feel free to contact us by phone, text or email.
